The Team's Background

The team behind DeepStart gain benefit from knowledge, experience and network resulted from years of close interaction with high tech entrepreneurial community particularly within the emerging deep tech startup ecosystem. The team has been actively engaged in activities such as holding international and local competitions, assisting and mentoring tech-startups in nanotechnology and other areas, and various networking activities.

Through design and implementation of the first International Nanotechnology Olympiad (INO) a partnership among prominent institutions from several Asian countries and the European Commission’s Research and Innovation Directorate was established resulting in innovative programs aiming at urging young scientists and engineers towards taking a more entrepreneurial attitude in their career path. The competition consisted of teams working on their nanotechnology ideas with oral and written reports being evaluated by a committee of expert judges.

As another initiative “Mixed Team Challenge” can be mentioned. The one-day program consists of a multi-cultural entrepreneurial experience for young scientists that has been highly welcomed by the participants and later was repeated in Europe’s Young Scientists Forum in 2019.
